Our Staff
Joseph Rose
Has been a Lawyer for more than 30 years and has a wide ranging knowledge and interest in the law. He has worked in many jurisdictions of the law. Today his particular emphasis is on property and business matters.
He takes instructions from clients in Property, Wills, Probate matters, Matrimonial matters and business issues. He works in conjunction with Accountants, Financial Advisers, Estate Agents and any other Consultant used by his client. He is diligent and works tirelessly to assist his clients.
He was amongst the first Lawyers who became accredited as a specialist practitioner in Commercial and Business Law. He has been an examiner for practitioners seeking accreditation.
His constant aim is to ensure that his clients' best interests are met.
Penny Theodoulou
Has worked as a Lawyer in personal injury, matrimonial and commercial litigation matters for over 20 years. She has worked in some of the biggest firms in the City and brings wide and extensive knowledge to her work at Rose Lawyers.
In selected cases, Penny will act on a 'no win no fee' basis. Please discuss the issue with Penny.
Margaret Monk
Is the first person that you will meet when you come into the office. She is the Office Manager/Receptionist. Margaret is a competent and wise adviser for people who need initial consultation should the Lawyers not be available (even if that advice is to wait to meet one of the Lawyers). She will arrange for you to meet the appropriate Lawyer for your needs.
Alison Hall
Is a cheerful, efficient and highly competent secretary and personal assistant to the Lawyers. She will often be able to help with specific file queries when the Lawyers are not available.
Belinda Harty
Is our Bookkeeper. She is very adept with all accounting matters and will handle your queries regarding accounts.
Bronwyn Keay
Works together with Margaret Monk. Clients will often meet her if Margaret is unavailable for any reason. Bronwyn is responsible for many of the administrative tasks of the office as well as being in charge of the documents retained in safe custody. Please speak to Bronwyn if you have any queries about documents retained by Rose Lawyers or about archived files.
Stella Bakos
Works in conjunction with and at the direction of Joseph Rose in the preparation of Wills (including Testamentary Trusts and Disability Trusts) and Powers of Attorney (including Financial, Medical & Guardianship), She is a very pleasant, competent and patient member of staff. Please speak to Stella if you have a query about your Will when Joseph Rose is unavailable.
Jim Pippey
Has been a Lawyer for 38 years. He recently merged his practice with Rose Lawyers and is now active in Planning and Restrictive Covenant problems. His planning experience is statewide. He works directly in conjunction with consultants such as planning consultants, surveyors, and architects to best resolve client's problems.
Effie Louras
Is the Conveyancing Manager at Rose Lawyers having joined in September, 2009.
Her work includes -

- Retirement Village transactions - both leasehold and Title transactions
- Matrimonial/de facto transfer of properties
Effie's work requires her to deal with town planners as she is often involved in permit issues. She understands the requirements of each of the Banks and financial institutions when Mortgages are being created or discharged.
Effie represents a client from the beginning of a transaction to its satisfactory settlement.
